One of the most important services that ConnectGroups delivers is training. Hands-on assistance for new and existing Self Help and Support Groups is offered throughout the year through our Leaders Series Workshops. Topics covered include Support Group facilitation, governance, succession planning and conflict resolution.
The Leadership Series Workshops have provided great benefits to our members, demonstrated by the consistent number of attendees and the positive feedback received. The Series involves a combination of up-to-date, well researched information and practical, experiential exercises. Attendees are given the chance to put knowledge to the test and practice new tools with one another to maximise the uptake of the tools and knowledge delivered.
The workshops emphasise the building of connections between group participants and the dissolution of unhelpful barriers between participants. As such, there is a focus on sharing, opening up and group discussion.
Other training services include one-on-one mentoring, Fee-for-service training for non-members and the provision of resources. ConnectGroups also delivers forums and mini bites training for Self Help and Support Groups and related organisations. All services are offered at a low cost to our members.
