Community Legal Centres Association of WA

The Community Legal Centres Association of WA (the Association) is the peak organisation representing the 29 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) operating in Western Australia. It is committed to the principles of human rights, social justice and equity, including the rights of Western Australians to equity in access to legal services.

The Association conducts its business via General meetings of members, an Executive Committee elected by the membership and various sub committees and working parties. The Association is resourced by a Secretariat office located in East Perth. The Association is part of a national network of community legal centres, the National Association of Community Legal Centres.

Our Objectives

  • Promoting the development of community legal centresPromoting cooperation between community legal centres
  • Promoting the provision of legal assistance to disadvantaged sections of the community
  • Promoting community awareness of the law and to encourage community participation in the legal process
  • Promoting equal opportunity in the law
