ConnectGroups is keen to hear about and, participate where possible, in research into support groups particularly in Australia. The following research has been undertaken in Australia during the past few years.

Research Into GROW

Researcher Lizzie Finn, a doctoral psychology student at Curtin University in Western Australia has presented her PhD research into the self help group GROW widely in Australia and overseas. She can be contacted via e-mail at: lizziefinn@iprimus.com.au

Research into the Relationship between Self Help Organisations and General Practitioners

Dr Boyle and others have undertaken research on what actions facilitate a positive relationship between GPs and self help organisations to enable members of the community link to these services.
